pumpkin patch

this is another late post but i wanted to get it on here for caraline:)
this is our trip to the pumpkin patch with her school.
first time for this preschooler to ride a bus (she is obsessed with school buses!)
mommy was a little nervous but her friend mason was on there and mommy, jenn and ellie followed closely behind them.
it was a good time until the weather took a quick change for the worse, the wind/rain was terrible and it got really cold so we headed out early.

she wasn't into pictures this day.

she always is though.

pumpkin bowling.

riding the fake horsey.

finally got a super smile in a pic with her sweetie.

mason, of course helping a girl out:)

winter dance recital

twinkle, twinkle here's my little star!

18 month checkup

wow, its been a while since i've last blogged.
i can't even remember if we made a 15 month post.
but here is the 18 and i'm going to try and get back into this thing.

elleanor will turn 18 months old on the 20th. (started this post a while ago but just now finishing, she turned 18 months on Dec. 20th)
we had her checkup a little early.
she is 30% on her weight
and 50% on her height

there was only 1 immunization this time, but mean old mommy also had the girl's flu shots done at this visit.  and as you can also see above this girl has become quite the handful at the doctor's office, getting into cabinets, pushing the chairs into the walls, and tearing down the paper!

tidbits on ellie girl:
she has some personality that's for sure.
her dad and i call her our tornado.
she is into everything these days.
climbing, climbing, climbing
she can show you where her head, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, tongue, bellybutton, and toes are.
she loves music.
loves to dance.
loves to smile.
loves to laugh.
loves her big sister and wants to do everything that she does.
she is such a talker.
she says momma, mommy, dada, daddy, nana, memaw, papa, sissy, ellie, doggie, kitty, banana, bye bye, hi, thank you, please and the list goes on and on and on.
she loves to sleep with her doggie.
sucks her thumb while rubbing her nose.
pulls her hair out when she gets mad. (wish this one would come to a stop)
is fascinated with the vacuum cleaner.
i could go on and on and on about this energetic little gal!
she is definitely keeping us on our toes:)

we love our little tornado and can't wait to see what she does in the next few months!

well checks.

yesterday morning before Caraline went to school we all loaded up and headed to Dr. Daley's for the girls well check appts.
it was Caraline's 3 year and Elleanor's 15 month (well really just 14 1/2 months but no way was i making a separate trip so she went early:)

the girls did absolutely wonderful.
i was worried, both of them getting shots the same day, and Caraline heading to school after.
but they were champs.
Caraline does really well as long as you tell her whats going to be happening before hand.
we talked about how she was getting a shot and that she needed to go first because she was a big girl and i know that she was going to be ok.  i told her that Ellie would need to go second because she would scream and would need her big sis to give her hugs.

so C sat on my lap and got her 1 shot in her arm.  no tears for this big girl!
then it was E's turn.  first shot, no crying, what?? this kid usually holds her breath, turns a little purple and then screams bloody murder.  second shot she barely let out a cry, lasted for about 3 seconds and then was fine!  so proud of these girls.  and so far no problems after shots.  no fever, no fussiness.  so glad for this.

now for their stats:

Caraline is 3 ft. 1 1/2 in. tall, 50th% and weighs 29 lbs, 40th%.  yes she is still small but this girl had moved on up some!

Elleanor is 30 in tall, 15th%, and weighs 21 lbs 6oz, 10th%.  and yes following in her big sister's size trends (although you wouldn't ever think it by the way this girl eats!)

i worried and worried every time we went for C's checkups when she was a baby and would see how low on the scale she was, every time our ped reassured she was fine and healthy.  so this time i haven't even questioned the ped on this, if he thought things were ok with Ellie, guess we just make em small over here:)
